Shawn Minix

Growing up in Houston, TX without Christ, Shawn knew how to seek unhealthy attention and empty acceptance, but in a varsity basketball locker room, Christ got a hold of his heart and Shawn trusted in Jesus.

Shawn’s greatest desire in ministry is to make disciples.  Through equipping believers and preaching the Gospel, Shawn strives to lead with courage, creativity and humility.

Shawn was a student pastor for over 13 years, doing student ministry in Texas, Georgia and California. He has traveled throughout the country speaking at camps, retreats and conferences. Shawn has had the honor of ministering with some great worship leaders such as Charlie Hall from the Passion Movement, Jeremy Camp, Robbie Seay, the Future of Forestry and Judd Wright. He moved back to his home state of Texas to church plant where God had other plans for him.

Currently Shawn is a bi-vocational pastor, planting the Gospel in a large tech company while still having the honor to travel and speak as the Lord leads. Shawn has been married to his beautiful wife, Amy for over 18 years and has a daughter Aubrey (17) and 3 sons- Caeden(14) Ethan (12) and Logan (8). Shawn enjoys reading, music and sports, but especially enjoys playing basketball, skiing, and mountain biking.  Always a coach at heart, you can frequently catch Shawn coaching his kids sports in soccer, basketball, football and even baseball.

Shawn received his Bachelor of Science in Computer Graphic Design from The University of Mary-Hardin Baylor and his Th.M. from Dallas Theological Seminary.
